Knowledge Is Not Power
Reading Books Alone Won’t Solve Your Problems
Growing up, I believed that one of the most significant goals in life was to learn as much as I could, to improve constantly so that others would always consider me to be among the smartest people in the room. Imagine that you have realized that in order for your life to change, you must change. This realization has motivated you to purchase the top 5 books on personal development, business, and finance, among other topics. You will undoubtedly start to sound intelligent and attract more attention, but what is likely to stay the same? YOUR LIFE…
Your life won’t change until you begin to put the knowledge you’ve gained into practice by taking action, learning from your mistakes, getting better at it each time you try again, and gradually developing high level of consistency and discipline that is required to attain the success that you want.
The next time you wonder why your life hasn’t changed much despite reading as many enlightening books as you can, just keep in mind that it is either because you haven’t taken action, you haven’t tried as much, or you haven’t found a way to benefit enough people. Success tales of the past & the present have taught us that if we keep trying, we will eventually succeed.
In conclusion, power or success cannot be attained solely by acquiring knowledge from books (atleast not in these current times). Power is derived from the use of knowledge and the ability to use it skillfully in a variety of contexts, as has been demonstrated over time…
